International SIG
The purpose of the International Forum is to be a resource for SAO members in their understanding, education and business success pertaining to non-US markets. The committee will function as a clearinghouse and facilitator in the exchange of information amongst the northwest region’s international community, as a provider of unique international programs that complement other Forum committees and public and private organizations, as a mentor providing assistance and advice regarding international topics, and as a connector of people and information.
The International Forum is targeted to serve SAO members who have an interest in or existing operations in markets outside the U.S. for their products and/or services.

GO GLOBAL is an initiative across all Forums to provide information and education on how companies can strengthen their financial foundations by by having a presence in non-US markets. One of the key benefits that comes from operating in the global marketplace is diversification. By virtue of being in multiple countries each with it's own business cycle you have the benefit of not being dependent on one market. Even now with a global downturn some countries are not as hard hit as others so opportunities still exist.
The GO GLOBAL program offers events that will bring information from companies currently operating outside the US on what to do and, more importantly, what not to do as you consider moving outside America's borders.
