Event Details
We are inviting experienced entrepreneurs,
professionals and business leaders who have a passion for getting involved in a
startup with a focus on smart grid. The goal is to create influential high-growth
companies in the Smart Grid domain. This is NOT a project to create a life
style company for the founders or to help those seeking a job, consulting
assignment or basic education on the Smart Grid.
The project will comprise a series of 3 evening
sessions from 6pm to 9pm at OTBC on:
Monday October 19th, Tuesday
October 27th, and Tuesday November 10th
Price of admission is $100, a serious interest
in starting a growth company, ability to commit time between sessions to
research and at least one real business idea in the Smart Grid domain.
Experienced professionals in the technology,
energy or related fields are encouraged to participate. Applicants who are
chosen to participate will be expected to come prepared to work on smart grid
business ideas and attend all three sessions.
Space is limited to 40 participants chosen
from those who apply. The deadline to apply is Oct. 12th. The steering committee
will review all applications and let applicants know whether they were accepted
or not by October 15th at the latest.
All ideas shared at the meetings will not be
protected by NDA or other legal processes - consider them to be publicly
available if they are discussed. However, we will ask all participants to keep
the ideas and discussions confidential to the Project. This is a collective
effort to come up with a great team to form a legitimate smart grid company so
we encourage people to respect the open environment for sharing. The SAO, OTBC,
sponsors and committee have no ownership of any ideas and will not publicly
post ideas.
