Great New Opportunities for SAO Members

Northwest technology companies now featured at PDX
Oregon technology companies are now featured in Concourse C of the Portland International Airport!

Software Companies Represented at PDX

In a partnership between SAO and Silicon Maps, participation in an annual map featuring the “who’s who” of technology businesses in Oregon and Washington is available to promote your company. To be included in the 2008 Silicon Forest Map, place your order now, as they start shipping in November 2007. Each map and calendar features your company’s logo, web address and an illustration of your facility or product on a full-color map of the region. These regional snapshots make a great, low-cost promotional tool and can also be imprinted on a variety of other promotional products. Copies of this year’s map are available at the SAO downtown office. For more information contact Rachel Kjack, director of member services, at 503-228-5419 or rachel.kjack@sao.org or click here for more details.

Salary data for SAO members
We know that one of our members’ biggest challenges is creating compensation packages that reflect today's job market rates. We have partnered with PayScale to help you with this.

PayScale has agreed to let all SAO members run a free search on a job title of your choice. Click here or call 206-389-0101 to request your free PayScale Compensation Report. Be sure to mention you’re a SAO member – all SAO members get 15% off PayScale annual subscriptions!

New discounts on choice-driven insurance
In response to the growing need and interest in choice-driven benefit options, based on our Member Services Survey conducted in April, SAO members are now eligible for special association rates on insurance policies that supplement regular health insurance through a newly formed partnership. Aflac offers a distinct type of protection that can be added as a pre-tax payroll deduction. Unlike major medical health insurance, they pay employees directly (unless otherwise assigned), not the doctor or hospital. Employees control the cash benefits and spend them as they like to help with the financial impact that an accident or illness can have on their standard of living.
