Supporting Oregon’s Software Industry for 20 Years

The Software Association of Oregon is the only Oregon based technology trade association solely dedicated to supporting the success of Oregon’s software and technology Industry.

Over the last 20 years the SAO has helped connect technology innovators with people, ideas, and networks to build a foundation that supports innovation, creative thinking, and the entrepreneurial spirit. Our StartUp initiatives support emerging small businesses through mentorship and partner offerings.

Exposure
SAO organizes over seventy annual events that expose and connect people and companies across Oregon’s technology clusters to market leaders, decision-makers and thought leaders in the industry.

Last year alone our special events, networking and educational programs were attended by over 4,000 business professionals. Companies that receive the most benefit from membership are those who are actively involvement in the community through volunteering, corporate and program sponsorship, peer mentoring, and event attendance.

SAO is the home of eight community led forums of over 150 dedicated volunteers, who hand select industry thought leaders to present seminars and conferences designed keep your employees, business practices and strategies connected and ahead of the marketplace. Look for the Leadership Exchange series, featuring seven tiers of Oregon’s top technology professionals, launching in Fall ‘09.

Connection
The SAO leverages partnerships with local, and state organizations, associations, non-profits, and other community groups, to offer our members cross-industry networking and discounted access to conferences, events and trainings in Oregon and SW Washington. Our active member base of over 20,000 draws from all organization levels, industries, professions, and company sizes.

With about 450 member companies, SAO’s presence in Oregon is stronger than ever.
